Firstly the beach has a boardwalk that passes along the sea front, here you can gain access to all of the different beach “bagni” with there various services including bars, restaurants, umbrella services, and changing facilities. The North beaches are close to the centre if you are interested in going into town for lunch etc.
Getting to the beach is normally the main occupation. A bicycle is a highly recommended thing to have to get around as Castiglione is very bicycle friendly, with cycle paths connecting all the main beach locations and places to stay.
If you arrive by car the beach area to the North has a few main parking points.
There is a main parking point near the north end of the beach zone, it is free but often gets busy. It is a five minute walk to the nearest beach.
There is a paid for parking with attendant near Bagno Capezzolo, right on the beach with less than one minutes walk to beach and beach services.
Via Nazario Sauro is located back from the sea front behind the main road Via Roma, here you will find a place to park early in the morning. Later in the day it tends to be quite full in high season weekends.
Lastly a parking area on Via Ponte Giorgini located a short 15 minute walk away, is large and always has places to park no matter how busy it is in high season. From this parking it is possible to access both the North beaches and the south beaches.
